Texas, May 1: Due to an incident involving the captain of the flight, a Japan Airlines' airplane from Dallas to Tokyo was grounded recently. According to reports, the pilot, who had arrived from Tokyo, got drunk and acted strangely at the hotel in Texas where the crew was staying, upsetting other visitors as well as the hotel staff. Despite the fact that by the time of departure of the flight, there was no sign of alcohol on the pilot, Japan Airlines decided that the captain was unable to fly since the crew's health was more important.

“We sincerely apologize to the customers who were involved in this flight cancellation. According to CBS News, customers who had tickets on the cancelled flight were informed that the crew's "health issues" were the reason for the cancellation. In Dallas, the unnamed pilot had supper with crew members after the trip at around six in the evening, but the get-together went far beyond late night. The party soon migrated from the restaurant to the hotel lounge and, then the pilot's room, where the crew members allegedly got so loud that a hotel staff complained about it at two in the morning.
