Petoskey District Library Gains New E-Books for Lifestyle and Career Help

With the support of an American Rescue Plan Act grant, the Petoskey District Library has brought thousands of e-books to its inventory to help those affected by the pandemic.

By using the Libby app on your smart device, and your Petoskey District Library Card, users now have access to thousands of digital and audio books online. Digital titles that will be available will include information on career development, job seeking, physical and mental health and general education needs. This project is aimed to help those get back on their feet after the COVID-19 pandemic, and will also include resume-building tips and lifestyle change advice.

“There are just thousands of titles that we’ve purchased, and if you have a library card, a Petoskey library card, you can get on Libby and all these titles will help you, you know, improve your changes of getting a job, of writing your resume, improving your lifestyle,” Mary Beauchamp, Reference Librarian at the Petoskey District Library said.

The Petoskey District Library says they are also available to help with any assistance when it comes to the new grant, like resume building tips and lifestyle change advice.
