Analise Tenney Shows You How to Find the Right Lawyer

Tenney breaks down the best practices to find the best lawyer.

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, June 13, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Divorce. Bankruptcy. Small Claims Court. Criminal charges. The situation that led to you needing a lawyer is never easy. It’s always stressful and people often feel lost, distressed, and alone. They know they need counsel, but they have no idea how to go about choosing, so they pick the first name that comes up.

This is a bad decision because all lawyers are not created equal. Even though you might know the lawyer claims to specialize in the practice, doesn’t mean they’re any good at it. There’s good and bad in all. Some lawyers are truly looking out for their client’s best interest. Yet others, are not.

Analise Tenney wants you to know how to spot the difference. In this article, Tenney shares her experience, showing you how to find the right lawyer.

Ask the Right People

In most situations, asking the people who know you best for advice on personal issues is a great idea.

Yet, asking your friends and family about lawyers is an exception, at least right away.
While asking for advice is great, Analise Tenney advises that you wait until you have information about specific lawyers. That way, you have already narrowed down your options and you’re working with facts, instead of name association. (AKA: The lawyer with the biggest billboard or catchiest jingle.)

How do you get the right information about these people? Contact the local bar association for qualified lawyers in your area. This is important because it’s through these organizations that you can also find specific records of each lawyer. That way, after a little digging, you can decide based on the lawyer’s past cases and clients.

Shop Around

Retaining a lawyer is a big decision. So, Analise Tenney insists that how lawyers look on paper isn’t end all, be all. There’s still a consultation that must be done after you’ve narrowed down your options.

Think of it as getting a second and third opinion. While the lawyer’s approach and reputation might be admirable, they still might not be the lawyer for you.

Tenney stresses that as a client, you must trust your lawyer implicitly. If you aren’t comfortable speaking to your lawyer in a consultation, you won’t be comfortable telling him details about yourself. That’s a problem since it’s in your best interest, to be honest, and upfront with your lawyer.

That’s the only way your lawyer can accurately represent you.

Put Their Skills to Work

The next step to finding a lawyer, according to Analise Tenney, is putting their skills to work. After you’ve narrowed down the list of lawyers, the following action is to negotiate a price.

Now, getting the best deal is a good motivator, but Tenney said when dealing with lawyers, focus more on them. This is where you get a preview of how they make a case. Since it’s for themselves, they should be passionate about it. If they give in too easy, or they react in an off-putting manner, they’re not the lawyer for you.

If you’re impressed by the way they handle themselves, and you’re convinced by their price quote, you’ve likely found a winner.

To close, Analise Tenney imparts that knowing the importance of choosing a lawyer is essential to courtroom success.
